Food Assistance at LIFT-UP

Fixed Pantries

Fixed Pantries

ASPEN | CARBONDALE | GLENWOOD SPRINGS | NEW CASTLE | RIFLE | PARACHUTE

We collect fresh and shelf-stable food for food insecure guests.

LIFT-UP relies on food and monetary donations to supply our pantries. Food donations are distributed between our 6 pantries and LIFT-UP uses monetary donations to purchase food and other items from Food Bank of The Rockies.

Ways to support your community LIFT-UP Food Pantry:

Drive-Thru Distribution

Snowmass | El Jebel | Carbondale | Glenwood Springs | New Castle | Silt | Rifle | Parachute

LIFT-UP prepares pre-packed grocery bags full of healthy foods. We provide meat, fruits and veggies, dairy, bread, and ingredients for easy meals. We also offer personal care items like laundry detergent or soap through to dog and cat food.

Amidst the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, LIFT-UP experienced a 600% increase in food insecurity here in the Roaring Fork Valley Parachute to Aspen corridor. Following safety procedures to protect our staff and clients, and volunteers, LIFT-UP closed all pantry locations and implemented Drive-Thru food distributions to accommodate the food need of those in the community. We have now re-opened all 6 of our pantries and have decided to continue our Drive-Thru food distributions.

Extended Table - Soup Kitchen

EXTENDED TABLE — SOUP KITCHEN

GLENWOOD SPRINGS | RIFLE

ANYONE IN NEED CAN HAVE A GOOD MEAL

The Extended Table (soup kitchen) has been a vital part of LIFT-UP’s programs for the past 23 years. After its launch in 1995 by members of The Glenwood Mennonite Church, with support from other area churches, The Extended Table was brought under the umbrella of LIFT-UP right from the beginning to make it a community service that would not be associated with any church or individual, and to provide a channel for people to donate to the outreach.
LIFT-UP’s Extended Table’s main aim is to feed the people who can’t afford to buy food. We are dedicated to preventing hunger for destitute people in our valley. Extended Table is run entirely by LIFT-UP’s volunteers and serves more than 6,000 people a year. This vital community program is funded through donations from individuals, businesses, local churches, and other non-profit organizations.
