Be a Hero: Host a Food Drive

Food drives are a great way to involve your friends and family in the fight to end hunger. Whether you host a traditional food drive to collect canned goods or hold a virtual food drive to raise funds you can make a big difference. Hunger affects every community, but many people don’t realize it. Individuals, schools, community organizations, and businesses can all host food drives on behalf of LIFT-UP.

I do not want to host a food drive, can I still donate?

Absolutely! LIFT UP will accept individual donations at our Warehouse (100 Midland Avenue Suite 170) Monday – Friday. The best time for drop off of your donation is during our operating hours 9 am – 4 pm, to ensure distribution of your donation.

Every donation helps us feed empty bellies. Big or small.

Can I donate perishable food items? For example, home grown vegetables or cold/frozen items from the store.

Of course! We accept food donations of all shapes and sizes! Our Warehouse is equipped with a commercial fridge and freezer to ensure we are able to provide fresh produce from local farmers around our valley, as well as provide meat to our community in need. We only ask that these foods are not out of date or spoiled. If you would like to make a donation of such please contact our Warehouse and Facilities Manager Chelsie McDermott at (970)456-1874

Can I support a local business or school that is hosting a food drive?

Please do! We encourage our community to support each other; food drives are no different! Please take a look at our Food Drive Board above to find a Food Drive host and location that works best for you. Please be mindful of the fact that some food drives remain internal, these are not open to the public.
